As with so many things in life (well mine at least) things show up on your doorstep and it doesn’t always matter whether you’re “ready” or not. My home was no different. From the first time I saw it on a real estate website I knew she was the one. Knowing it was a full scale renovation, and having never done that before didn’t seem to matter. I was in! The process of turning the potential of what “could be” in the bones of my house into my own personal sanctuary ignited my love for full scale renovations. I was able to learn the construction process while simultaneously designing, taking risks, and exploring the depths of my creative potential with very few limitations. Being able to design a house around my lifelong art, furniture and pottery collections and dive into my unique concepts with color resulted in a finished product of my own personal living piece of art.
