Upon my first viewing of this historic mid century home, I knew she was special. Built in the 1960s by a UNCA professor of environmental sciences as one of the first partially subterranean eco friendly Earth ships, the history and unmovable concrete skeleton meant exciting challenges to bring her into the modern age while keeping the heart and the integrity of the home in tact.
